So what’s been happening lately…?
My Uncle Blue (one of my Dad’s younger brothers) from the Philippines and his family came to the States for a vacation. I was pretty excited! They gave us so much hospitality when we came to their home, so we were ready to return the favor. After watching the Pacquiao-Hatton fight, they went to Vegas, a cruise to Catalina, shopping at the malls. It was fun hanging with my 3 cousins (their oldest brother is back at home, studying for an exam to become a CFA). Utoy loved playing Smash Bros. Brawl on the Wii and with Val; Gabby loved the shops and interesting people; and Apang got to experience the Filipino-American life via myself and my cousins here. Uncle Blue and Aunti Aivi took Utoy home, and Gabby and Apang are here until the 29th. Everyday’s been pretty cool ’cause we get to hang out and talk and become closer.

my mom is from the town of Bogo, Cebu, Philippines. when she moved here, apparently so did a good amount of her townmates because there were a good amount of people at the picnic we were at. that’s partially also because her other 4 sisters have been living here for a while, and brought their families with them. anyway, there was plenty of Filipino food and Bogohanons.

YUM!
afterwards, Burnie, Mark, Apang, Tonks and I went to Burnie’s Dad’s house to meet up and ride motorcycles. it was pretty scary. he let me ride a 2002 BMW R1100R. crazy torquey bike. you can cruise at 40mph in 5th gear, twist the throttle, and be doing 120mph like nothing. we first went to yogurtland with everyone else in my car following behind us. need to practice more hahaha that’s for sure. after grabbing a cup of yogurt, we cruised on down to San Pedro to check out the Korean Friendship Bell. the coast and cliffs were pretty windy up there, but refreshing. my dad was tripping on getting my cousin to church on time, so we had to leave promptly. it was a fun ride, so i’m getting my own bike next week! my dad is gracious enough to loan me some money, and pay him monthly for it. i don’t know what it was that convinced him to let me get one because at first he was very anti-motorcycle. but if he had a say in the kind of motorcycle i was going to get, it would be the style that brad pitt rode in benjamin button. can’t argue with that, it’s a cool lookin’ motorcycle heh.

“I want this for my myspace!”
“no!! i’m coming after you guys!!!”

“it’s a martial arts training scene, look!”
